Calavera bath bomb has been a classic for quite a few years now. We have seen it in the Lush Kitchen a couple of times and it is usually released around Halloween time but the most recent was as part of the community favourite in 2018. It will be released across the UK as part of the 30th anniversary of the bath bomb invention celebrations. It contains delicate little marigold petals which appear from the neon green spewing core. It is part of the Calacas/Day of the Ded scent family – if you’re not familiar with these products then you may recognise it from Monsters Ball bath bomb from more recent Halloween seasonal releases. A gorgeous combination of olibanum, lime and neroli oils create a mouth watering lime gummy bear scent. Description taken from Lush – ‘If you’re feeling a little… dead, a soak in a Calacas-scented cauldron of spicy olibanum, lime, and neroli oil is sure to revive you. Lift your spirits and sink deep, deep down into warming waters alive with dancing souls, or are they marigold petals? You decide.’
Bom Perignon bath bomb has been seen in the past in the lush kitchen. The scent is somewhat citrusy.. similar to champagen and ever so slightly more sophisticated than a regular citrus product from Lush. It doesn’t create any bath art but makes the water look milky. This was made an exclusive in Harajuku when the bath bomb store opened and is now rolling out to certain UK stores in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the bath bomb invented by Mo Constantine. Description taken from Lush – ‘You deserve the finest things in life – by the litre-full! So pour yourself a bathtime cocktail of mood-boosting grapefruit and tangerine oils, and let champagne-scented waters raise your spirits! Cheers to that!’
Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bath bomb shares the same scent as the regular line bubble bar with the same name! It contains earthy patchouli and frankincense with some spicy cinnamon leaf oil. Description taken from Lush – ‘If you’re looking for a silver lining, you’ve found it in this peace-inducing patchouli and frankincense orb. Watch as cloud-like shapes drift across your bath, as tranquil waves of mood-boosting patchouli and spicy cinnamon leaf oil send worries to another plane.’ This will be part of the release of the 54 Harajuku exclusive bath bombs in UK stores across the country in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the bath bomb!
Black Rose bath bomb first made an appearance at the 2018 showcase in Manchester. It was available once throughout the 2 days and once specific time where you would have to queue to purchase it. It’s been released throughout stores as part of the celebrations for the 30th bath bomb anniversary. This gorgeous black bath bomb is part of the Rose Jam scent family. Description taken from Lush – ‘Wash away your woes with sweet rose. This richly romantic Turkish rose and lemon love story will have you falling head over heels for bathing all over again. A kiss of conditioning Fair Trade cocoa butter hydrates, while balancing geranium leaves your skin looking blooming beautiful.’
Golden Pear is a bath bomb that we originally saw as part of the community favourites in 2018. It shares the same scent as the original golden pear soap which was released for Christmas 2017. A fresh and fruity yet rich and warming scent – created by combining cardomom oil with brazilian orange and sandalwood oils. Description taken from Lush – ‘If things turn pear-shaped, look to this fresh and fruity bath bomb to lift your spirits. Invigorating cardamom oil infuses the steam with notes of spiced fruits, while zesty Brazilian orange oil clears the mind. A reassuringly warm, woody aroma grounds this sweet pear, settling busy thoughts.’ This will be available throughout some stores as part of the 30th anniversary of the bath bomb celebrations.
Harajuku was one of the first Harajuku exclusive bath bombs that we had a sneak peek of back in 2018 when we saw some exclusives at the showcase. This one was aailable at one specific time on one of the days of the showcase. The scent is vanilla, benzoin resinoid and brazilian orange oil. Very similar to a bubblegum fragrance. In the water it was very strong however it didn’t seem to overpower any other products I used. Unfortunately the batch I purchased from didn’t perform very well, however since the showcase, I have seen other people with great results. I’m hoping it was due to freshness/hadn’t been stored well before I purchased.
Description taken from Lush ‘Take a dip in Harajuku style and get lost in a kaleidoscope of kawaii colour. A pick ‘n’ mix of bubble gum sweetness, this candied bath bomb blends punchy Brazilian orange oil with balsamic benzoin resinoid and sugary vanilla. Step out the water and delight in the bubble pop electric fragrance that lingers on your skin.’
Hi Ho Silver is a bath bomb that we saw at Harajuku and has been released throughout stores for the 30th anniversary of the bath bomb created by Mo Constantine. This small bath bomb packs a punch when dropped into the water. A stream of silver rushes from the core and has a distinct fragrance – somewhat similar to grape soda! Description taken from Lush – ‘As it dissolves, this lustre-filled bath bomb releases a reflective silver sheen that dances across the surface of the water, like bathing in melted mercury. Containing a bath melt made from almond oil, cocoa and shea butter to deliver a deep dose of hydration to your skin. A blend of citrus and olibanum gives a light, floral fragrance. Rise from sterling waters, bejewelled and dazzling.’
Honey I Washed the Kids bath bomb was part of the 2018 community favourites release. It has now been released in all stores for a limited time as part of the 30 years celebrations for the first bath bomb anniversary. The honey I washed the kids scent is an absolutely classic. We have seen it in so many formats that I think most lushies have tried at least one HIWTK scented product! Description taken from Lush – ‘If you’re looking for a sweet pick me up, this caramelly bath bomb could just be the ticket. As it dissolves into butterscotch-like steam, beautifully blended Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and extra virgin olive oil are released into the water, dishing your skin a healthy dose of hydration. Finally a touch of aloe vera calms and relieves for the most comforting of baths.’
Hulder bath bomb was originally seen at the 2018 lush showcase. It was one of six Harajuku exclusives that were available to be purchased at specific times throughout both days. Hulder is an exclusive bath bomb to the Harajuku store now but has been released online and in some stores to celebrate the 30th birthday of the first bath bomb, invented by Mo Constantine. Description taken from Lush – ‘Take a clean break with sea salt to cleanse mind and body. Cypress and elemi oil give clarity to tangled thoughts, while sweet tangerine oil rejuvenates the skin. Emotionally balancing and grounding, a touch of davana oil soothes and brings you back down to earth – a bath bomb to wash away even the muddiest of days.’
